Education
Being a rebellious person, struggling always for freedom, I never followed the instructors during my study; I don’t remember studying a manuscript given for a course, which if I could have done, I would have probably acquired better notes. Instead, I’d have snaked to the libraries, spending my time to dive deeply into special subjects that would have somehow attracted me. And I don’t regret it at all. Because, now that many years have passed from my graduation (2011), the contents that I remember with clarity are not those that I learnt by passing courses at university, but those that I learnt independently by reading books, following the references, and research. That is why “self-teaching” is the way of learning that I strongly stand on. The most important criterion in this process, which can be difficult especially at the beginning, is to find good materials. Therefore, the best teachers in my opinion, are those who have read a lot, so that they can introduce best references.
Mission
Starting a journey in science is as much difficult as it is beautiful. It would be even more challenging if you fall in love with it. Like every love, however, it will always send you signals of inspiration. Here is one example of mine; In December 2019, I registered myself as a refugee in Germany. It was a hard decision, a choice that at the time I knew I had to make between my dreams and plans for future, and my believes and the value of “freedom” and the “free will” of the individuals, which I have been standing on it for the entire of my life. The uncertainty about the future intensified by coming the new era of COVID pandemic was huge and I was nearly sure that I should forget my passion for science for a long time and maybe even forever. Luckily at the beginning of that period of insecurity which lasted nearly two years, I found an interesting book (Shadows of the mind from Penrose) which strengthened my passion for science. I went back to the subjects and references in quantum physics that I have had almost forgotten about them, and begun to see and read them with a new light and perspective. During that period, I started this website to keep my passion for science alive. This website is also my response to the life-long opportunity of learning that was given to me (by God, nature, luck, whatever you name it). After all, we should be willing to give freely, what we have acquired freely.
Here, I like to share my passion specially for mathematical-based and application-oriented science with everyone who is interested to see the practical face of basic science. The subjects are mostly around Optics and Life Science. I will first take you through forms and functions in optics, the most beautiful of all science: the science of light. We also see how apparently random phenomena in nature are mostly based on well-defined structures and functions. We learn how to use mathematics while we are not a mathematician. Moreover, some materials (books, online courses, and tutorials) will be introduced with this hope that they might change or help to direct your steps if you are interested to take a journey in science.
Personality
The most difficult question that I have ever asked is: “What is your personality?”. I’d rather not answer this question, because personality (such as the sort of attitudes and behavior) is what we can mostly learn and that’s why they can be easily changed. But there are values that are attached to us and they are “character ethics”. These are the values that I stand on: courage, fairness, and integrity. I’m not sure how many times my attitudes have been changed or might be changing in future, but I do know that my belief on these values will never change.
